Here are three activities that are simply better with friends.

Hiking Acatenango Volcano (aka bonding through suffering)

The Acatenango volcano hike is not for the faint of heart.

Starting at around 2,000 meters and climbing to a base camp at 3,700 meters -- with the option to summit even higher -- this trek demands physical endurance, mental strength, and grit.

At night, gather around a campfire in a lakeside hostel, share stories, meet fellow travelers, and feel the lake quietly strengthen the bond between your group.

Exploring the legendary Chichicastenango Market

You haven't truly experienced Guatemala without visiting Chichicastenango.

Dating back to the 15th century, this legendary market has been a gathering place for local merchants long before colonial times, and it remains one of the most vibrant expressions of Guatemalan culture today.

It's crowded, loud and chaotic. Expect zero personal space. Stick close to your friends and keep an eye on each other's bags.

By the end of the day, your group will have:
