About the host
I'm Roobens Fils, born and raised in Paris. After a career change, I decided to take a leap into the unknown and spend a year traveling around the world on my own. That journey transformed my life and eventually turned my passion for travel and sharing experiences into my profession. Today, I create content and write about travel, with a particular focus on the experience of traveling as a Black person. Through my work, I hope to inspire and support fellow members of the Black travel community to explore the world with confidence. I'm also the founder of Dunia Travel. During my travels, I realized how few people have had the opportunity to truly discover Africa. Yet the continent is home to an extraordinary diversity of cultures, breathtaking landscapes, and countless hidden treasures. Through Dunia, my mission is to showcase the richness and complexity of Africa beyond the stereotypes that too often define it. The experiences we create are immersive, authentic, and designed to help travelers connect deeply with the people, cultures, and natural wonders that make Africa so remarkable.
